Clinical supervision

I offer clinical supervision for counsellors at every stage of practice—a time to step back, talk candidly about your work and reflect on areas you would like to develop.

Supervision provides an opportunity to recognise and celebrate what is going well, think through moments of doubt and consider aspects of client work from a different perspective. It is also a safe place to reflect on how the work is affecting you and what helps you remain grounded in your practice.

Reflective supervision

How supervision can support your practice

  • Practitioner wellbeing: Reflect on the emotional impact of counselling work, including vicarious trauma, compassion fatigue and signs of burnout.
  • Ethics, risk and boundaries: Talk through ethical questions, risk concerns and boundary dilemmas in a confidential, collegial space.
  • Professional development: Identify areas for further learning, strengthen your skills and develop greater confidence in your work.
  • Reflective practice: Step back from complex cases, consider client dynamics and explore different ways of understanding what may be happening in the therapeutic relationship.

Supervision is not about having all the answers. It is a collaborative relationship that respects the complexity of the work, including the parts that feel uncertain, and supports you in carrying the responsibilities of counselling practice.
